HOW TO IDENTIFY MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES?

Dear Friends,

Before presenting the benefits to MSME Enterprises, let us know first the method to categorize the micro, small and medium enterprises. Two different guidelines based on total investments have been notified for manufacturing and services sectors as per Government notifications published in 2006 as described here under:

1.    MANUFACTURING SECTOR

In case of manufacturing sector, total investment on plant and machineries excluding land, building and furniture is considered as the basis as stated below:

·         Micro Enterprises: Plants having total investment more than Rs.   25 lacs and upto Rs. 5 crores are categorized as Micro     Enterprises.

·      Small Enterprises: Plants having total investment more than Rs. 25 lacs and upto Rs. 5 crores are categorized as Micro Enterprises.

·       Medium Enterprises: Plants having total investment more than Rs. 25 lacs and upto Rs. 5 crores are categorized as Micro Enterprises.

2.    SERVICES SECTOR

·   Micro Services Enterprise: If the total investment on plant and machinery is less than Rs. 25 lacs, then the said service sector unit is termed as Micro enterprise.

·  Small Services Enterprise: The enterprise having capital investment more than Rs. 25 lacs and less than Rs. 5 crores is known as Small enterprise.

·  Medium Services Enterprise: The enterprise having capital investment more than Rs. 5 crores but less than Rs. 10 crores is known as Medium enterprise.

EASE OF SETTING UP INDUSTRIES IN JHARKHAND

Dear Friends,

Today I started blogging on Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Jharkhand. I have pleasure to inform you that I will put all out efforts in presenting papers periodically covering various aspects of setting up industries starting from getting allotment of land to execution of MSME projects including required statutory approvals and applicable subsidies.

Government of Jharkhand and all concerned officials are very much pro-active to encourage Entrepreneurs in putting up industries in Jharkhand. Government has formed an unique digital Single Window  platform for processing applications in getting land allotment to statutory approvals including payment of incentives in the form of capital and interest subsidy to individuals or companies.

It is heartening to note that all types of enterprises such as Proprietary, Private Limited or Public Limited company can plan and set up industries in Jharkhand. Thus any individual or company irrespective of their location can process their applications online for related activities and they will receive response from concerned department within specified time schedule.

In nutshell, there is a systematic approach from the Government which has created platform in carrying out business in Jharkhand. We are proud to be Indian for being resident of Jharkhand.
